day 27. family.

who is as blessed as me? i dare say no one. i don't think i'll ever understand why i am blessed with the things i am. all i know is to whom much is given, much is expected. so, i will continue to strive everyday to live worthy of these amazing people who i am privileged to call family. (am i using my who/whom correctly?). they are my everything. president brigham young explained that our families are not yet ours. the Lord has committed them to us to see how we will treat them. only if we are faithful will they be given to us forever. what we do on earth determines whether or not we will be worthy to become heavenly parents. the thought of not being able to be with them makes me....want to change the subject and not think about it. so i will strive everyday to be worthy. they bring me comfort, frustration, support, joy, annoyance, and all the things a family should. :) i'm so happy my parents met and made all of us. my family is seriously the best. and i'm not saying that lightly. they are the absolute BEST. not only my immediate family either.. my extended family, on both my mother and father's sides are the absolute best too! i have a LARGE family. (very large) i would rather hangout with my family than most anyone else. they are my greatest friends. the plan of salvation is SO inspired. our heavenly father is SO inspired. we couldn't survive without families. i'm so happy he sent me to mine.

another family that i am beyond blessed to be joining (soon!) is this incredible one. the furness family. words cannot express the love i have for them. i am so SO happy to become a furness lady :) they are the kind, generous, thoughtful, optimistic, musical family that you only read about it books... except, they are real. :) they are so accepting and loving and i couldn't be more blessed to know them. they are the most incredible examples to me and i will never be able to thank them enough for all they have done for me throughout the past few years. thank you for sharing your son and brother with me. oh how i love each of you!!

day 16. a photo of someone who inspires me.

i am inspired by this beautiful girl on a daily basis. she's nothing short of an angel. i can always count on her for smile. not just a 'haha you're funny' smile, but an actual genuine 'thank you for making me happy', smile. i strive to be like her someday. i reeeally really love my almost for real little sister. thanks for including me in the family drawing. :) thank you for sharing your brother with me. i just really love you. pretty freeeeeakin' stoked we get to kick it heaven together. forever family? i think so ♥

day 13. uncle mac and friends

other wise known as BYU vocal point :) the radio these days likes produce less and less "music" and more and more... crap. so my ears choose to listen to vocal point. their new album 'back in blue' for their 20 year anniversary just came out this weekend! you can purchase it here. and here. aaaaand here. your ears will thank you. then, if you think you like them on cd, just wait til you see them in concert. oh baby! you will fall in love. i am 100% positive. if you go to a vocal point concert and you don't fall in love, i will give you 5 billion dollars. thats how sure i am. (any relation i may or may not have to the dashing blonde one with glasses, the one that sings like a greek god, is completely coincidental.)

day 02. my person.

shocker right? excluding actual blood relatives who have known me since i literally popped out, this brown skinned, loud mouth, curly haired girl is the person i have been closest with the longest. she is my person. plain and simple as that. she's currently serving a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints in mccallen, texas. those texans don't even know how lucky they are. i miss you everyday best. you're in my prayers :)

luckiest.

i am 114 and half percent positive that i am the luckiest luckiest luckiest girl on this entire planet. maybe even in the galaxy. my christmas break was a dreammm and i wish it was still happening. to kick it off, sister dear came to visit me the week after finals. it might have been my favorite trip yet :) then again, i say that after every time she comes to visit.

my studly grandpa turned 80 so the whoooole fam damily got together for the.. not so surprise party in palm springs. :)

since we were all together, why not head to disneyland in a massive group of like 50 people, right? we thought it was a fantastic idea. took the nieces and nephews for the first time. :)

disneyland checklist...

my family? check.

my love? check. :)

frigid rainy weather? check.

funnest days of my life? check.

now im back to reality and i'm not sure.. no i am sure how i feel. i really just don't like it one bit.

i said bye to L and C of MELCC and i have to say bye to E soon. M left forevs ago. (is in summer 2012 yet?) really REALLY not fond of that. but its okay cause i have the WORLDS most incredible friends. again i say, luckiest.

one year ago from right now i was on the most incredible adventure of my life. i miss it terribly. :( allll theee timeeee.

i sure do have a lot to be thankful for. so much that i honestly can't even begin to name everything.

so i am going to name three.

i love my family. during an intense game of speed scrabble after turkey day i looked up and around at the people i was surrounded by and had a thought.. how rad is it that i was sent to this family. the same family as these people? we all just.. mesh. and get along wonderfully. and enjoy each others company. He knew we needed to be family. thanks for that :) i love the people in my life so much. i am so blessed.

i have a house. a house that keeps me warm from the cold winter wonderland outside my front door. and not to mention that house is filled with the wonderful people i mentioned above. my house is full of happiness, music, memories and love. from the fire mark on the kitchen floor to jazzy's pee stains that line the basement hallway; i love everything about it. every time i go home i can feel the difference in the air. its thinker, denser, happier, lovelier. i always want to be home because home is where my heart is. (in more ways than one) ;)

i am grateful for my knowledge that my church, the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints is t-r-u-e. its truer than true and i love it through and through. it's the happiest part of my life. all i am, all i have, i owe to knowing what i know. i know who i am and i know my purpose in life. i still have a long way to go before i reach the potential i possess inside of me, but isn't that the fun part of life? the journey. all in all, i'm grateful for my journey. because i know my journey is specified just for me because guess what.. He loves me and knows me better than i even know myself.

i hope errrbodys thanksgiving break was as amazing as mine was. i hope it was spent with amazing people, eating amazing food, while making amazing memories. i seriously love my life.

perfect weekend.

my weekend full of happiness and wonderful people. friday i saw my rockstar brother jammm at the covey center with vocal point. saturday was stephanies birthday aaaand i went on a date with my love slash beat him in pool :) on sunday we made breakfast and i learned he has mastered the art of making pancakes. we also split one piece of bacon, i smiered yogurt on his face and then we skipped in the perfect falling snowflakes after church. then i hung with my bunker family and we watched a movie and brett taught me 2 new songs on the guitar. is this seriously real life? giddy giddy giddy giddy.

we find, the best way to spend our break at work is taking pictures in the leaves outside our office building. i am quite fond of my cousins. and fall time. and a certain boy with the initials tmf ♥. (not pictured)
